| Umalas was still not so long ago a sleepy village, minutes away from seminyak. The last few years has seen its community develop at probably the highest rate around and though it does still hold a predominantly rural feel, it is possibly the area with the highest density of luxury villas anywhere in Bali. A 10 minutes drive from Jl Laksmana, its sweeping rice field and peaceful riverside glades, retain the quality to make one feel incredibly close to the center and a thousand miles away.
