| To the north of Kuta and its overly and disconcerting heavily developed, franchised, fast-food and commercial aspect, Seminyak is the younger of the three urban sisters along the southwest coast of the island.
Home to a majority of happening and upscale restaurant and shops, with its main center being jalan Laksmana. Though most of the desired shopping featuring local designer for clothing and accessories alike, antiques, furnishing remains to be found in the Legian area, between Kuta and Seminyak, a fair amount has found its way, in the last couple of years, and doubled or immigrated for obvious reasons, to the area originating at the beginning of Jalan Laksmana* and looping through Petitenget.
This is where the trendiest beachfront on the island is to be found, host of restaurant such as ‘The Breeze’, ‘La Luciola’, and the famous ‘Ku de ta’. Further more a light 10 minutes walk south down the beach will have you cruising in legian, its popular restaurant, hang outs and beachfront nightlife.
