Being in Bali and with no particular item in mind, I headed, as I often do for a shop that has been a favorite of mine since its opening a couple of year ago, the fabulous "sks", or "simplekonseptstore", on Jalan Laksmana.
Not so much for the “Westwood” jewels or “Artemide” lighting delights, it is more so the soft, lovely, easy to wear, yet ultra feminine, cotton and silk frocks, ‘candy’ undies and whimsical bikinis of the in house label “Coquette”, that I do get a thrill for, when pushing the door of the bi-level design dome. Of course the perfect beach bags, soft leather clutches and trendy flats are all the more to enjoy, along the array of japanese gadgets and the delicate collection of ceramics conceived and produced exclusively for the shop by the wonderful Gaya Ceramic Studio....
Once again, it seems, that is what I finally splurged for, in the form of a beautifully crafted box, which I will constantly keep filled with the colourful and tasty macaroons of the Bali catering Co.
Oh I forgot! I grabbed a great shirt as well for my beloved second half as well as widgets and t’s for the boys, not to come back empty handed..
