With a common belief that luxury and elegance, far from being pretentious, are rather natural expressions of authentic living, we established MAISONBULLE on the dawn of the year 2008, an online portfolio of luxury character homes available for seasonal rental.

Authenticity is by definition Luxury.
What’s more, luxe is an enriching personal experience, more so than the ownership or ability to access the “expensive”.
Personal experiences create memories, and memories are common knowledge to us all. Difference, uniqueness, intensity is what makes them special, and childhood memories, as varied as they may be, being for most the longest standing ones.
With childhood comes enchantment, holidays often the memorable background scene.
As children holiday meant travel, not so much as a journey to far away places, moreover as one to familiar beloved places of wonder, mostly dormant during the rest of the year. Kind and generous to anyone crossing their threshold, they held promise of many carefree happy moment.
Homes always happy to welcome and share within their walls the tumultuous and sudden unleashed energy of their returning masters and visitors. Caring, soothing, providing and most of all tolerant as no regular home could ever be, filled with the essence and emotions of the many stories they hold.

Family home at large, country or summer houses, ski chalets, beach cottages, mansions and other refuge of sorts, their doors opened unfailingly onto magical worlds of memories, endless play, lazy days, first loves, adventures and late nights under starry skies.
Some say luxury is found in such places away from the mundane nature of town and society... places that brings the generations together around a beautiful home made meal. Some say that the ultimate luxury is actually a family home!

We share this belief and Maisonbulle was created to celebrate and share what we have been fortunate to know and experience as a standard of living.
For we value luxury as a state of being, subtle as opposed to ostentatious, imperceptible at times, reaching its apotheosis with a true sense of connection, belonging which can only result in serene happiness.
We value these emotions and we sincerely wish for such luxury to remain and expend its reach, for it perpetuates respect, awareness, measure and balance all necessary values to nurturing and existence of the truly unique and original.

Maisonbulle’s homes are for most family based or exist because of one. Each property is the affirmation that someone, someday, experienced a sense of place amongst a certain land, culture, community and acted upon it with a wish to nurture that feeling and set residence for it.

Democratisation of the family mansion, as it may be interpreted, though not every home in our portfolio is a mansion per se, more than that it is a desire to share the access to beautiful private homes of some who delightfully practice the art of living well.
